Online Safeguarding Drop-In Surgeries for Outreach & Pioneering Projects in the North East.

Working in partnership, the Connexional Safeguarding Team and the Learning Network are pleased to offer a new series of Safeguarding Drop-In Surgeries, taking place online, designed to support you in your outreach work.

These sessions are open to all New Places for New People (NPNP) projects, including:

  • Churches at the Margins initiatives
  • Faith-Rooted Community projects
  • Outreach that doesn’t easily fit within traditional church or circuit structures

The drop-in surgeries offer a relaxed and supportive space to:

  • Explore a safeguarding topic relevant to outreach and pioneering
  • Ask questions about real situations affecting your project
  • Receive advice and guidance from a Regional Officer for Safeguarding, either as part of the group conversation or in more individual discussion

Whether your project is well established or still at the planning stage, you are very welcome to come along. The aim is simple: to help ensure your project is as safe, supportive, and welcoming as possible for everyone involved.

Each session lasts two hours. The first hour will focus on a presentation covering a specific topic. The second hour will be dedicated to exploring key safeguarding issues within your own context, providing an opportunity to ask questions and receive tailored support and guidance.
