Safeguarding Update

Coronavirus and isolation: supporting your friends and colleagues

As church we have a responsibility to our employees but also our volunteers. This month the Connexional Safeguarding Team have been promoting MIND, a mental health charity, and in particular the toolkit mentioned below.
Taken from www.mentalhealthatwork.org.uk :
It's fair to say we've never experienced a time like this.
There are lots of messages, advice, opinions and predictions around. Some of it's pretty drastic, and not all of it agrees – and the uncertainty, in itself, can feel very stressful. Mental Health at Work isn't here to add to your pressures by telling you what to do.

Instead, at a time when things are moving and changing fast, we just want to make sure you've got some useful and practical information when you need it.

This Mental Health at Work toolkit produced by Mind focusses on workplace wellbeing and includes: -Coronavirus and your wellbeing

  • Working well from home under self-quarantine for coronavirus
  • My whole self: supporting your mental health while working from home
  • Remote working: a practical safety guide for businesses
  • Supporting colleagues to stay mentally healthy in unusual working conditions
  • Guide to wellness action plans
