Phishing Emails

We are aware of a phishing email claiming to be from our District Chair Vicky Atkins. Please ignore and delete this email as it's from someone purporting to be her.

Phishing emails appear from time-to-time, but you can spot them by....

• Checking which email address they have come from which can be seen at the top of the email.
• Is it an address you recognise.
• Ask yourself are you expecting an email from this person or is it unusual.
• Is the content asking you for a favour, for some information or for some money for example
• Does the email have the usual sign off or is the language different to what you'd usually expect

Our advice is if in doubt about an email or you spot something unusual, no not reply, delete the email, contact the person direct using valid contact details and do not share any of your personal details with anyone you do not know or with anyone who you cannot verify their identity.
