Dinnington Community Stars

Four members of the team at Dinnington Methodist Church in the Trinity Circuit have received Community Star Awards in recognition of more than 20 years of volunteering in their local community.

Tracey and Jasmine Lee run the children’s and youth clubs, while Pat Hibbert and Graham Thomas run the lunch club.

Dinnington Town Council hosted its first Community Star Awards at the town’s Lyric Theatre. Many gathered for the event to celebrate those who have made a real difference to the community.

The small team at Dinnington Methodist Church work in partnership with others to make Dinnington a better place to live. They create spaces where everyone can feel safe, know they belong and have an opportunity to explore questions of faith and life in unhurried ways.

Community Pioneer Worker Peter Farmer said: “It was wonderful to see our team celebrated for the contributions they have made to our community over the years.”
