Yet again we find ourselves living with lockdown and needing to re-evaluate the way we live, work and worship as we assimilate the revised guidance for ourselves, our families and our churches.
The latest restrictions will undoubtedly have brought disappointment to many, particularly after we had been given hope through the news of the start of the Covid-19 vaccination programme.
However, whatever our changing circumstances, “Our Calling” remains the same. I continue therefore, to be very grateful to so many people, lay and ordained alike, across the District, who are enabling our worship, learning, caring, evangelism and service to continue in increasingly creative ways.
We may long for things to be different, but these are the times in which we are living, and as we are being reminded through our District Strategy for Resourcing Mission, we are called to worship and witness and serve in our unique ways “for such a time of this.” Please be assured of my prayers for you as you seek to do just that and may you know God’s blessing in these days.
