God In Love Unites Us

The Sheffield Methodist District held an additional Representative Synod on
Saturday 27th February 2021 at 9.30 a.m. in order to discuss and vote upon the resolutions contained within the "God In Love Unites Us Report." The report itself can be found at https://www.methodist.org.uk/media/12606/3240-10-amended-marriage-and-relationships-report.pdf

Whilst only Synod members were able to vote on the resolutions, this was such an important conversation in our shared life that we offered an open invitation to anyone to attend. This was well attended and the results of the votes have been passed on the the Methodist Conference, who will be voting when they meet in June.

As you pray for this Synod or, if you are a voting member of Synod, as you prepare to participate in it, you may find it helpful to look at some other resources which offer a range of theological and biblical perspectives on the content of the report and provide other helpful insights into the use of scripture.
