Courageous Conversations

Our morning session was led by the District Chair – Revd Vicky Atkins, and Mark North, the Sheffield District Faith Rooted Community Organising Lead. There was a focused session in the morning exploring why Faith Rooted Community Organising matters now, followed by a variety of activities that we hope will model different ways in which you might like to try within your own community.

The afternoon heard more about The Art of Welcome, a follow-up to the Faith over Fear Sundays, as well as  more chances to have conversations within circuit groups on what the next steps might be.

Within the District Gathering we will hold the life of Methodism across our district in prayer, renew our relationship with our wider Connexional church, and make any formal decisions required of us as a district – the work of the representative synod.
