Church Safeguarding Review

Building on the fact that legal responsibility for Safeguarding rests with the members of the Church Council, I am asking 3 council members to meet with the Church Safeguarding Officer to complete the review for their church. Only one form needs to be completed, but the collective knowledge for all 4 people should be included.

If one person from the group can access the internet during the group discussion, the form can be completed straight away, by clicking on the link here.

However, if this is not possible, we include a printable version of the form. This will make it easier to review among several people or for completing offline. Someone can then complete the online form later, using the information collated on the printed version.

If you have the following information to hand the form should take less than 15 minutes to complete:

• Name of Church website, if applicable
• Name of church Facebook page, if applicable
• Number of church members / adherents
• Number of Church Council members
• Date your last safeguarding policy was approved
• Number of people requiring Foundation module training in the next Connexional year
• Number of people requiring Advanced module training in the next Connexional year
