Consent System and Portal

When selling a property, it's important in depth, accurate and transparent information is clear from the outlook and include a proposal of where the money could be used now and, in the future, and also include enough detail so that someone with no prior knowledge of the church or building can have all the understanding they need to make an informed decision. Projects will not be considered unless project details have been fully filled out.

Documents and evidence

All documents and evidence require uploading to the portal for review including:


-The last quinquennial report
-Any drawings or plans produced, for any structural works this would be a necessity.
-Pictures, pictures, pictures! They are a great way of communicating the issues or changes that are wanted. On a document with some notes attached are valuable
-The property valuation and advice on selling the property, This is also known as a QSR report.
-The project priorities will need to be filled out and intern the project outcomes, regardless whether this is a sale or not. How they fit into the wider circuit picture is important, including, if known where the funds of the sale will be used elsewhere.
-Extract from minutes of the church meeting where project was agreed.
-Extract from minutes of the circuit meeting when the project or sale were agreed, and any report presented in support of this.
-What other options for the building were considered? This will need to be a document or included in responses to the questions on the consents system, not an email and include others views and ideas sought and why they were not pursued.
-Before completion the bids that were received and why the winning bid was chosen in a document.

Phased projects

A small note on the phasing of work that is split into phases or spreads across multiple properties, when uploading these on the system, please ensure the first two words be used as a title to identify that it is part of a wider project so they can be linked together.
