Hagg Farm in the Hope Valley played host to over 20 Youth & Children's Volunteers and Workers over a five-day period this month.
Organised by Youth & Children's Co-ordinator Jonathan Buckley from Sheffield Circuit, the retreat was designed to support volunteers and paid lay workers who were tired and in need of a break due to their tireless work during the pandemic.
Jonathan explains: "Our volunteers and paid workers definitely needed something to look forward too, so we decided in February to create the retreat and have no programme set other than eating together to allow people to do what was best for them.
"It turned into an amazingly fulfilling trip where we went on walks, chatted, had camp fires, played board games and we laughed and cried."
Over the five days 22 people visited the farm, some stayed for a day, some stayed for a couple of nights and the rest stayed for the full time.
Jonathan is looking to arrange another retreat in October 2022 If anyone would like to know more please contact Jonathan on firstname.lastname@example.org
