As District Treasurer Neil is responsible for managing the budget and overall finances of the District. A chartered accountant of 20 years experience, he has worked in audit, insurance and charitable sectors.
Our income comes primarily from contributions from our circuits ("assessments" and "CMTF levies") plus Methodist and other grant funders. This is spent on our core staff team needed to implement our strategy for resourcing mission; supervision and support of circuits and churches; making grants to circuits, churches and individuals; and delivering a range of mission projects.
Day to day bookkeeping, receipt of income and payment of bills and expenses is handled in the first instance by our District Administrator.
