Worship & Preaching Officer

The District Worship and Preaching Officer plays a key role in resourcing worship leaders and local preachers within the district, and supporting circuit local preachers' meetings in their role as communities of fellowship and learning.

There is considerable scope within the role to promote and enable passionate contextual worship across the district in other ways as part of our strategy for resourcing mission – For Such A Time As This

As a district we are currently seeking to develop a more collaborative approach to worship leader and preacher training, support churches continuing to develop sustainable hybrid worship, offer inspirational district-wide worship, and increase access to contextual online prayer and worship resources. The Worship and Preaching Officer would not bear sole responsibility for these, but would have opportunity to contribute according to their own skills and expertise alongside other district officers, volunteers and staff.

Further information about the role is included in the downloadable role description document.

If you are interested in becoming our new Worship & Preaching Officer please submit an Expression of Interest Form to Katrin Hackett, District Administrator by Friday 8th October

To maintain the diversity of the district team we are particularly keen to recruit officers who are younger adults or BAME at this time.

Gill Newton, Chair of District, is happy to discuss what the role entails.
