"My friends, choose seven men who are respected and wise and filled with God's Spirit. We will put them in charge of these things." (Acts 6:3)

Thank you Lord, for the talents and gifts that you have given to each of us. May we always be ready and willing to use what you have given to us in your way and for your purposes. We ask this in Jesus's name. Amen.

Sheffield Methodist District Policy Committee

The composition of this committee has been recently revised, and it is hoped that with the reduced membership there may be greater opportunity for informed discussion. The responsibility of the committee, defined by Methodist Conference, remains unchanged. It is hoped that all parts of the District will be fairly represented, and that where appropriate full consultations will take place.

Give thanks for:

All who are willing to serve both as members, and officials of this committee.
The work done by the committee.
The concern of the members that the best be done for each of the Circuits and Churches in the District.

Please pray for:

More lay people to serve on this committee
Wisdom in all the decisions that have to be made.
That the members may not lose sight of the vision of God at work in this area.

We pray Lord, that in all the work of administration, those involved may never lose sight of the vision of your needy world. Give them love, patience, understanding and strength in all they do for you. We ask this in Jesus's name. Amen.
