Prayer Diary Introduction page

"If your enemies are hungry, give them something to eat. And if they are thirsty, give them something to drink. This will be the same as piling burning coals on their heads. And the Lord will reward you." (Proverbs 26:21, 22)

Help us Lord, to think and to act only in your way, and not in our way. May all that we think, say, or do, be good, honest and true. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

The close working relationship between Methodists and Anglicans in Toton
The new initiatives at Inham Nook with the young people of the housing estate T
he work of the chaplaincy team at Sudbury Prison
The partnership between church and social agencies working from the Stanhope Centre with underprivileged people in Mansfield.

Please pray for:

The work of the District Policy Committee as it seeks to work with people across the District to really work out what the mission of the church is for them.
Chris Jones our TDO, and his future Ministry.
The Mansfield and Burton upon Trent Circuits, as they cope with an unexpected shortage of a presbyter in this Connexional year.
Faithful; people who in their own locality seek to be faithful to the gospel values; that they may be open to God's leading

Eternal and Holy God, help us to be aware that because there is more about you that we cannot possibly know; may this awareness give us confidence to hope that we shall be led into greater things in your name. Where we cannot see the path ahead - help us to trust in you. When we feel weighed down - help us to know your strength. When we feel concerned - help us to know your peace Hold us in the hollow of your hand - now and forever. Amen.
