Prayer Diary Introduction page

"You, Lord, are my shepherd. I will never be in need. You let me rest in fields of green grass. You lead me to streams of peaceful water, and you refresh my life." (Psalm 23:1-3)

Thank you that you are the Good Shepherd, who gave His life for the sheep. Help us fully to enjoy and appreciate all your love and care for us, in Jesus name. Amen.

Leeds District (16) Chair - Rev Dr Liz Smith

Give thanks for:

'The Church in the Dale', through which 20 churches from 4 denominations in Nidderdale have covenanted to engage in mission and ministry together.
Opportunities given to a number of our ministers to engage with the life of local schools.

Please pray for:

District Evangelism Enabler Rev Bev Hollings, particularly as she tries to engage with people on 'Fresh Expressions' initiatives;
The six Superintendents new to the District who will work with the new Chair in shaping policies and priorities.
The new District Chair Rev Dr Liz Smith as she takes up her responsibilities in the District. (I regret my mistake and offer sincere apologies that in the previous Prayer Handbook I stated that the new District Chair took up her responsibilities on 1st September 2006. In fact the start date should have read 1st September 2007.Ed.)

Lord. Help us to trust You in all things. May we never doubt your goodness and plan for each of our lives. May our witness always be clear and true, showing Your love to all with whom we come in contact. We ask this in Jesus's name. Amen.
