Thank you Lord that you accept our
praise. Thank you for all that you have done, and are doing, not only in our
lives but also in the lives of all those around us. Help us to trust you for
all that is to come. Amen. |
Chester and Stoke on Trent District (11) Chair - Rev Canon John D

Give thanks for:
- The renewal of Churches Together in Cheshire promoting a "Take your
Minister to Work for a day" programme and a county Forum on "Jesus, a person
for Today".
- The work of the Churches' Link Officer based at Stoke Minster linking
faith groups with the programmes of the City Council and co-ordinating regular
meetings of faith leaders with the mayor and representatives of the
Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
- The re-grouping of circuits in Mid-Cheshire and Stoke-on=-Trent to
make for more effective mission. .
Please pray for:
- The work of the District "Prison" chaplains at Brinsford YOI, Stoke
Heath YOI, Thorn Cross YOI, Werrington Secure College and Styal Prison. The
care of ex-offenders through the North Staffordshire Community Chaplaincy
Project.
- The Beacon "House of Prayer" fresh expression of church in
Stoke-on-Trent as it grows beyond its "core-planting" group.
- The building of a new church to serve three former separate
congregations at The Broadway, Meir.
Lord, bless our hopes, fragile as they sometimes are, and help
them to develop, flourish and be realised in the atmosphere of the love and the
faith you have given. So may we not hope in vain but grow in confidence and
effective mission… Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
