Wanting to justify himself, the man asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbour?" … Jesus said "Which of these three do you think was a neighbour to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The expert in the law replied. "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise." (Luke 10:29,36,37)
Loving God, we ask for your Spirit's guidance to follow in the way of Jesus, our Lord. Help us to see who our neighbours are, and to love them, like You, with all our heart, soul, strength and mind. Amen.

Worksop & Kiveton Circuit (25/2-): Superintendent Minister - Rev Mark Pengelly

This year we are joined by Rev Colin Barrick who is working in both this Circuit and with our near neighbours in Staveley and Bolsover Circuit. We look to the future with renewed encouragement and hope after a challenging year. The hope of the Gospel continues to inspire us to look for new opportunities of mission and service.

Give thanks for:

A sense of renewed vision as a Circuit policy review process begins.
Continuing growth in a number of Churches throughout the Circuit.
The establishment of a Circuit Young Adults group and growth in our work with teenagers.
The gifts and skills on many lay people including our new Circuit Administrator.

Please pray for:

A renewed sense of vision in all our Churches.
Circuit officers who carry the burden of several property schemes at present.
Continuing developments ecumenically which already strengthen and unify the Church in this area.

Loving God, may we know your strength and blessing as we seek to walk in the way of Christ. Amen
