"'You are my witnesses' says the Lord, 'and my servant whom I have chosen.'" (Isaiah 43:10)

Lord God, fill us with your love, and in all that we do and say may we live up to our calling. Amen.

Retford Circuit (25/17) Superintendent Minister - Rev Dick Styles

In recent months two of our village churches have closed. Now our Circuit combines three town churches (one of which faces closure), seven in rural areas, including two LEP's, and one fellowship. We maintain close links with Ranby Prison and Rampton Hospital. We are facing a more settled time with the addition to the staff of an Anglican priest who is also a minister in the Circuit. Retford continues to grow with many new houses and businesses, yet remains very much a market town.

Give thanks for:

Excellent ecumenical links, and especially the arrival of the Rev Mark Cantrill, who has charge of a group of Anglican Churches and is also minister of one of our Methodist town Churches and village LEP.
The increase in the number of prayer cells and the enthusiasm of those taking part.

Please pray for:

Vision and courage to face the future with its ever changing challenges.
A deepening confidence and assurance as we make the adjustments that are needed for our ministry
. That links with the local Anglican Churches may be further strengthened.
The outreach in schools and among children and young people.

Lord God, teach us today to rely on your strength, learn from your wisdom, walk in your light, and enjoy the company of your Spirit. Amen.
