"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, no angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38, 39)

God our healer, whose mercy is like a refining fire, touch us with your judgement, and confront us with your tenderness, that being comforted by you, we may reach out to a troubled world through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [All Desires Known]

Cliff College (25/13): Principal - Rev Dr Martyn Atkins

Cliff College is a Methodist training institution set in the Peak District National Park. The college runs undergraduate, postgraduate and research learning for Christians and interested parties, and is a leading centre for evangelism and mission studies. The College has a conference centre and can accommodate church weekends, day conferences, retreats and seminars.

Give thanks for:

The success of the Festival and many other ventures.
Those entering the service of God as lay workers of various kinds.
The renewal of lives and congregations by the grace of God, through the ministry of the College.

Please pray for:

Martyn Atkins as he serves the Church as President of the Methodist Conference.
All new members of staff, and their families.
Staff who have left the College to take up new roles.
For the College to continue to discern its pilgrim way in the purposes of God.

O Holy Spirit, giver of light and life, impart to us thoughts higher than our own thoughts, and prayers better than our own prayers, and powers better than our own powers, that we may spend and be spent in the ways of love and goodness, after the perfect image of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
