"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)

O God, our Creator, your kindness has brought us the gift of a new day. Help us to leave yesterday, and not to covet tomorrow but to accept the uniqueness of today. Amen (Prayer form the Iona Community)

Peak Circuit (25/13): Superintendent Minister - Rev Margaret Roe

The Peak Circuit, covering about one half of the area of the Peak District National Park, has 20 churches, Moorland House MHA and Bakewell Methodist Junior School with 3 ministers, a full time Lay Worker and part-time Circuit Administrative Assistant. The new Lay Worker will assist with new initiatives for children's and youth work and support and encourage some of our smaller churches to develop their work and through the Administrative Assistant we are seeking to relieve some of the administrative burden of our ministers and churches.

Give thanks for:

The stability of the leadership team in the Circuit as ministerial extensions have been approved.
Our growing work with children and young people.
Our growing ecumenical links, including a successful annual Deanery/Circuit Meeting.

Please pray for:

Our new Lay Worker, Dave Keegan, and the new Circuit Administrative Assistant, Tina Crosby.
The forward planning of the Circuit as we seek to adapt our Circuit policy in order to assist the churches in their mission and ministry. Our work with children and young people.
The challenges we face in working ecumenically.

Christ you are before us. This is what gives us the courage to go on. It is you who directs. It is you who beckons. So we dedicate ourselves, and we bless you now. Amen. (George MacLeod)
