"Let righteousness flow on like a river and righteousness like a never-failing torrent." (Amos 5:24)

We pray for wisdom: wisdom for those who lead our country, those who lead our communities and those who lead our Church. May it be a wisdom that is honest, realistic and that will speak for those whose voices are seldom heard. May those leaders have wisdom that strives for justice to be done so that in communities where there are tensions, and in our divided world, right relations with God and each other will become the vital source of action. Amen. .

Urban Theology Unit (UTU): Director - Rev Christine Jones

UTU is an ecumenical, educational charity with its own distinctive edge and international membership. UTU is a resource for: urban ministry, theology and spirituality; academic and non-academic courses; campaigns for social justice; inner city retreats; research and publishing. UTU is part of a regional, ecumenical network of centres of theological education serving Yorkshire.

Give thanks for:

The development of the Foundation Degree and the new MA in Urban Theology, through which we have welcomed new students and contacts. At the same time UTU remains committed to engagement with issues of social justice.

Please pray for:

Staff and students during the time of change, as throughout the Connexion changes are being made to Pre-ordination and Foundation Training. We are continuing to receive new students and provide training for Foundation and Pre-ordination students.

Challenge us to pray for, and practice, peace, justice and 'right living'. Amen.
