"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth…And the one seated on the throne said, ' See, I am making all things new. I am the Alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end.'"(Revelation 21:1a,5,6b)

God, we praise you for the way you touch and change our lives and that you refuse to allow us to settle for second best. We rejoice that you are constantly opening up new opportunities for growth and for service, as we strive to work, pray and long for the renewal of the whole creation, through the life we share in Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Sheffield South Circuit (25/7)): Superintendent Minister - Rev Jennifer Mullis

The circuit covers an area of south Sheffield with 11 churches. Seven are within the city and four in North East Derbyshire. Two churches are LEP's (Emmanuel, Waterthorpe and Eckington Methodist with St Luke's). This diverse circuit stretches from communities facing the challenge of regeneration, to continually growing housing developments in the Mosborough townships.

Give thanks for:

New ways of expressing circuit life.
Strength of commitment during a time of uncertain and difficult changes within the circuit.
Opportunities to minister to those outside the church in times of crisis.

Please pray for:

Appointment of Rev Jennifer Mullis as circuit Superintendent Minister and for the development of a new circuit ministry team.

Lord, you have called us to know you, to love you and to serve you. You have made us your own and filled us with your grace. We commit ourselves to be open to your word, to listen to your voice and to be guided by your Spirit. We pray that we may trust you, obey you and walk with you all our days. For Christ's sake. Amen.
