District News – 2 June 2020

This Week’s News

These are undoubtedly strange times in which we find ourselves and each week the guidance that we receive from both the Government and the Methodist Church is changing.  At the moment our church buildings remain closed, in line with the guidance and advice that we have received, but that does not mean that our churches are not alive and well.  It has been wonderful to see the new and innovative ways in which we are all “being church” – still worshipping together, learning together, caring for one another and the most vulnerable in our communities, serving those beyond our church families and sharing the good news of our faith with people that we have not encountered before.

Our churches continue to have a significant role to fulfil in our communities.  So, please do continue to look regularly at the District and Connexional websites and the District mailings for information and resources to help you as you continue to fulfil “Our Calling.”  May you all continue to know God’s blessing and the equipping of the Holy Spirit as you seek to be faithful to God in these days.
