Regular worship

  • 3rd Sunday, 20 May, Reflective Communion, 7- 8pm
  • every Sunday,Space to Be (silent meditation), 830 – 915am

every Tuesday, Reflective Communion, 945 – 1030am (please keep an eye on our website for location on 1 May)

Special events in May

Deep Talk. 
Two evenings on 2 May and 9 May. 730 – 9.30pm, £15 for both or £10 for one (recommended as a pair).
All day on 10 May. 10.15am – 3.30pm, £20.

These events use principles of life-coaching, poor-to-peer group work and storying to explore questions of identity and life purpose. Led by Jeremy Clines, Anglican chaplain at the University of Sheffield.

Christian Aid Week – Big Brekkie
15 May. 8-9.30am, free (donations will go to Christian Aid.)
Christian Aid is a charity striving to end poverty. During Christian Aid Week this year, enjoy breakfast at Whirlow Spirituality Centre, hear about communities at risk from disasters and donate if you can!

Song of Songs Live
18 May, 7.30pm. £15
On the eve of another Royal Wedding, we are delighted to welcome Tom Shepherd and Zainab Adeyemi, Jonny Ingall and Lucy Phillips, who will give a dramatic and musical presentation of Song of Songs. Enjoy this rarely heard scripture and celebrate love – human and divine. Refreshments included.

The Night Sea Journey – poetry launch.
24 May, 7.30 -9.30pm. £5. 
The Night Sea journey is poet and friend of Whirlow Adrian Scott’s third collection. It records and reflects on a journey of physical and mental breakdown and recovery. Hear a selection and buy a book if you wish.
