Learning and Development in the Sheffield District

L&D jigsawLearning and developing ourselves, our churches, circuits and district are vital and intrinsic aspect of being active people of God.  Some learning is to increase our knowledge and understanding of being a Christian; other activities challenge and develop us as whole people by searching deep into our individual relationships with each other and God.  Some opportunities are designed to help us to run our groups and organisations more effectively and efficiently whilst others offer us theological exploration or spiritual development.  Yet others offer support networks to help us to carry out different roles and responsibilities.

The opportunities outlined on these pages are indicative of a wide range of workshops, courses and programmes available to us.  They are not exhaustive.  We have provided some headings to help guide you through the listings.  Some opportunities are available via web-links and can be downloaded for you to use free of charge.

We want these pages to inspire you with ideas for learning and development.   We also want them to stimulate your thinking to ask for more and different opportunities, if these listings don’t seem to fit your interests or needs.

If you would like more information, to talk with someone who has previously organised the activities or to talk, in confidence, with someone who has experienced them, the admin team will sign-post you to the right people.

If you have taken part in a learning activity, which is not listed here, but you feel would be a useful addition to our data-base, then do get in touch.
